St George Illawarra players have escaped penalty after Saturday’s wild night against Canberra.Lock Jeremy Smith was not charged by the NRL match review committee yesterday for an attempted high shot on Raiders centre Jarrod Croker.Smith came in late to tackle Croker during the 72nd minute incident which prompted another flare-up during Canberra’s surprise 24-12 win.
